Seattle’s multi-ethnic punk metal band Kultur Shock takes the stage at Sofia’s Pirotska 5 Event Center Wednesday night, the organizers announced.
The concert is part of the band’s current No Nostalgia Tour 2023 around Europe. It starts in early April from Greece and is expected to include more than 20 gigs. Sofia will be the band’s third musical stop.
Bulgarian Val Kiossovski, guitar and vocals, is in the line-up of Kultur Shock, together with Chris Stromquist (drums and percussion), Gino Yevdjevich (vocals, trumpet, percussion), Amy Denio (saxophone, clarinet, vocals), Guy Michael Davis (bass, vocals), and Eleni Govetas (violin, saxophone, percussion, vocals.)
Starting on the tour, Val Kiossovski said that for 23 years on stage with Kultur Shock, he’d never felt such energy as now, as the band is returning to the new normal after the pandemic. “It’s as if the energy was bottled for two or three years and now it’s like champagne that’s been shaken before it’s opened," he commented.
In the first three weeks of the No Nostalgia Tour, the concerts of Kultur Shock will be opened by the band from Belgrade Erik & the Worldly Savages, which the audience will also see in Sofia.
