The average pension in 2025 is projected to reach BGN 975.64, as outlined in the Public Social Insurance Budget Bill for 2025, approved by the Cabinet, the government press service said here on Wednesday.
The average pension in 2025 is projected to rise by 10.5% compared to 2024. This increase is well above the anticipated average annual inflation rate of 2.4% for next year, which means purchasing power of pensions will improve.
The draft suggests that starting July 1, all pensions awarded by the end of 2024 will be increased by 8% to 9%. As of the same date, the minimum pension for length of service and age with full length of service will increase from BGN 580.57 to BGN 631.08. The maximum amount for the recipients of one or more pensions will remain capped at BGN 3,400.
