Top-ranked Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov advanced to the second round of the US Open tennis championships.
In his 14th US Open tournament ninth seed Dimitrov defeated in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-3, world No. 208 Kyrian Jacquet. The match lasted one hour and 47 minutes.
In the second round, Dimitrov, who reached the US Open semifinal in 2019, will face the winner in the match between Alejandro Davidovich and Rinky Hijikata.
