Retail companies and producers of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods will take part in the 5th annual Responsible Producers forum organized by Manager magazine and hosted by Sofia’s Inter Expo Center on Thursday morning. The event will outline three of the most important challenges facing the sector – ensuring food security, high product quality and modern marketing in the context of the war in Ukraine and climate change.
The forum is comprised of three panels.
The topic of the first one is food security and affordability. Participants will seek to answer what type of support Bulgarian producers need, what year and what decade can be expected against the backdrop of climate change, what effects the new government policies to monitor prices can have, when and how inflation will be contained, what the long-term effects of geopolitical developments on producers and retailers will be.
The second panel is dedicated to clean food and food quality. The panel will discuss consumer confidence, how quality is monitored and controlled, good practices of producers and the attitude towards products made in Bulgaria. New trends in nutrition and cultural concepts will be presented. Panellists will also discuss the nation’s eating habits and whether the demand for organic food in Bulgaria is increasing.
The last panel’s topic is consumers in focus. It will look at how brand positioning is built according to the consumer’s age group, how consumers shape their preferences, to what extent product choice is based on personal need and informed choice and to what extent it is influenced by brand messages.
