A photo, entitled “The holy she”, by Bulgarian Lina Fessler is among the works which have been recognized at a competition for black and white photography, Monovision Photography Awards”, in the Fine Arts category. This year’s edition of the forum which is among the world’s ten most influential, brought together more than 5,000 works in each of the 11 categories by professional and amateur photographers, according to the blog of Bulgarians in Austria Melange Bulgaren.
Lina Fessler has been a professional photographer for 11 years and is the second person in Vienna who in 2019 after a 22-hour examination fulfilled the new QAP standards, a European quality certificate ISO/IEC 17024. To date she is the only Bulgarian who holds this professional qualification.
Her photograph has been recognized among thousands of others in the most contested category. The photo is part of a special exhibition “Love Yourself”, which she presented on March 8 two years ago.
“I wanted to show women how important love for ourselves is,” says Fessler. “I am very happy with the recognition because it motivates me and gives me courage to go on experimenting and taking photos.”
