Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov and Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria Aylin Sekizkok held a working meeting at the minister’s invitation, the Interior Ministry said on Friday. They discussed bilateral cooperation in home affairs and security and traffic challenges at the checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Turkish border.
Rashkov also discussed those matters in a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Suleyman Soylu.
The constructive political dialogue and partnership between Bulgaria and Turkey were praised highly. The sides emphasized the good level of interaction in home affairs based on mutual trust and professionalism. They concurred that regular dialogue should continue on all levels and that cooperation in priority areas and in specific matters should expand and deepen.
