Traffic from West to East at the Kalotina checkpoint on the Bulgaria-Serbia border is busy but there are no lines of waiting cars, Border Police told BTA Monday.
During the past weekend, the line of vehicles waiting to cross into Bulgaria via the Gradina checkpoint in Serbia was 10 km long.
Border police say that traffic on the weekends of this time of the year is traditionally heavy as workers travel to Turkey from Western Europe for their holiday.
They also say that border control is exercised at eight lanes on the Bulgarian side and four lanes on the Serbian side.
