The Krakra Art Gallery in Penik is playing host to an exhibition by Turkish artist Ayse Sezer, the gallery’s press office said on Monday. It is entitled Me in You III and features 29 acrylic female portraits.
This is not Sezer’s first exhibition in Pernik. Two years ago, she contributed to a group show of Turkish artists in the Bulgarian town.
Sezer has 11 solo exhibitions and four awards in the field of painting on her record. She also works as a university professor.
The current exhibition will be on until September 5.
Ayse Sezer was born in Eskisehir, Northwestern Turkiye. She completed her undergraduate education in 1992 at Eskisehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Education, Department of Painting Teaching. Between 1992 and 2018, she worked as an art teacher at Anadolu University ICEM. In 2017, she graduated from Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. Sezer received the title of associate professor in 2021.
